Why I wrote this book (with many cups of coffee.)
I wrote this book because this story needs to be told.
Not as a warning.
Not as a complaint.
Not to point fingers or assign blame.
But as a testimony.
Of a mother.
A child.
A human being.
Because somewhere — between parenting and survival, between systems and silence, between good intentions and missed moments — something was lost.
Something essential.
Something you cannot always name, but you can feel.
Maybe it is love that didn’t fully land.
Maybe it is pain that echoed through generations.
Maybe it is words that were never spoken
— or words that were spoken at the wrong time.
I wrote this book because I believe that sharing brings healing.
That speaking the unspoken creates space.
Not only for me, but for you — as a parent, as a child, as a human being.
There is no perfect mother.
There is no manual.
There are only stories.
And this is mine.
Written through trial and error,
with humor and shame, with love and loss.
Because I hope that words, however small, can build a bridge.
Across the gap of judgment.
Across the silence.
Across the distance between us. ❤️
